AI Operations Manager (Part-Time Contract)

About the Role

Reliabl is looking for a highly organized and thoughtful AI Operations Manager to help support customer projects, onboarding, operational workflows, and internal coordination across our AI training and data annotation projects. In this role, you'll work closely with the CEO, customers, developers, and a global network of ML trainers to help keep projects organized, on schedule, and running smoothly. You'll support onboarding, coordinate communication across teams, help develop project documentation and training materials, and contribute to the day-to-day operations that help our customers succeed. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, is excited about ethical AI and emerging technology, and wants to grow within a fast-moving startup environment. We welcome candidates from nontraditional and interdisciplinary backgrounds. This role can be a strong fit for an early-career or mid-level candidate with strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a willingness to learn quickly. This is a remote, part-time contract role to start, with potential for expanded scope over time.

What You'll Do

• Support customer-facing AI training and data labeling projects
• Help coordinate project timelines, communication, and deliverables across customers, contractors, and internal team members
• Develop onboarding materials, annotation instructions, workflow documentation, and training resources
• Lead onboarding sessions for customers and ML trainers using the Reliabl platform
• Support collaborative sessions with customers, ML trainers, and lived-experience experts
• Help answer ML trainer questions and support project quality and workflow organization
• Support the CEO with scheduling, meeting preparation, follow-ups, and operational coordination
• Assist with administrative and organizational processes including onboarding, documentation, and invoicing coordination
• Collaborate with developers and internal team members to improve customer experience and workflow processes
• Build strong working relationships with collaborators across diverse backgrounds and time zones

Internship experience, startup experience, nonprofit work, student leadership, research coordination, community organizing, or customer support experience can all be relevant for this role.

Nice to Have

• Experience with AI workflows, data annotation, or machine learning projects
• Background in operations, project coordination, customer success, or startup environments
• Experience working with diverse communities or participatory research/design approaches
• Background in social sciences, trust & safety, or bias-related work
