Adjunct Professor of Early Childhood Education

Our client, a distinguished educational institution in Houston, Texas , is seeking a passionate and experienced Adjunct Professor to teach courses in Early Childhood Education. This hybrid role offers a blend of on-campus instruction and remote teaching capabilities, providing a flexible yet engaging work environment. The successful candidate will contribute to shaping the next generation of educators, fostering a deep understanding of child development, pedagogical approaches, and curriculum design for young learners. Prior teaching experience at the college or university level is highly desirable. Demonstrated ability to effectively teach in both face-to-face and online formats is essential for this hybrid position. Key qualifications include a strong theoretical foundation in child development theories (e.g., Piaget, Vygotsky), knowledge of evidence-based teaching strategies for early learners, and familiarity with state and national early childhood education standards. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills are crucial for interacting with students, faculty, and staff. The ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines in a part-time capacity is also important.
