Adjunct – Pathophysiology – Online (Remote) – College of Nursing and Health Care Professions Are you passionate about shaping future health care leaders and helping students discover their purpose? The College of Nursing and Health Care Professions at GCU is seeking knowledgeable, mission-driven Adjunct Faculty to teach Pathophysiology online. This course is designed to build upon existing knowledge of the pathophysiological processes of disease as they affect patients across the life span, recognizing the nurse's multidimensional role in health promotion and disease management and prevention, which include biological, environmental, social, psychological, and spiritual dimensions. Integration of nutritional and pharmacological concepts encourages critical thinking and application of nursing interventions.
What You Will Do
Deliver engaging, high-quality instruction using innovative teaching methods and current industry technologies Maintain compliance with accreditation standards Model the holistic tenets of the nursing profession and uphold the University’s mission and pillars Facilitate meaningful classroom discussions, assess student learning, and prepare students for leadership roles in health care Support program initiatives and demonstrate alignment with the philosophy and direction of the University Provide a positive example by supporting GCU’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement, and Mission What You Will Bring A Masters (or higher) in Nursing or a Bachelors in Nursing with a graduate degree in a relevant health care discipline. Graduate degree must be from an accredited university. Relevant work experience in health care policy, nursing leadership, research, or nursing management preferred. Must have an active, current, unencumbered RN license with three (3) or more years of direct patient care nursing experience.
