Accounting Manager - Anderson Business Advisor
This is a remote position. The purpose of the Accounting Manager is to oversee the Accounting Supervisors in Ahmedabad. This position involves collaborating with the US Tax/Accounting Management team to ensure that performance metrics, policies, and goals are consistent across teams. The manager is responsible for coaching and supporting supervisors to help develop their teams and maintain efficient and effective operations within the accounting department. Key Responsibilities:
- Team Oversight: Oversee the Accounting Supervisors, ensuring their teams meet performance expectations.
- Collaboration: Work alongside the US and other entities Tax/Accounting Management team on performance monitoring and implementing policies.
- Performance Monitoring: Ensure that the team meets targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within the accounting teams.
- Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Foster collaboration between the Accounting team and other departments to ensure a smooth workflow and communication.
Performance Metrics: 1. Team Performance Measured by the ability of the accounting teams to meet the targeted deadlines for the monthly/quarterly financial close and the rate of post-close adjustments/errors. 2. Supervisor Development: Leadership & Technical Coaching Success in coaching and developing supervisors to improve their leadership, technical accounting skills, and team management capabilities. 3. Collaboration with different entities Efficiency in coordinating accounting processes in India to meet various entities’ financial reporting standards, deadlines, and ensure timely, high-quality management reports. 4. Process Efficiency: Internal Control Effectiveness & Improvement Success in identifying and implementing improvements to internal control processes to reduce processing time and minimize error rates.
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in international accounting or a related field, with at least 2 years in a management role.
- Strong leadership and coaching skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software, Excel, and reporting tools.
- Experience with KPIs and performance management systems is preferred.
